Description
The service industry consists of two sectors: staffing & recruitment and tourism. Employment agencies address the needs of both employers and workers for more flexibility in the labor market. The employment agencies act as intermediary between employer (often asking for a temporary employee) and the employee (who works but does not want to have a fixed contract). More and more recruitment companies have moved to posting services in recent years. The tourism subsector includes various companies active in the travel and hotel services. These type of companies provide services in the field of leisure and take advantage of the current trend among consumers to spend more time and money on this. This positive trend is opposite to the high competition, especially on the tour operators. Because of the large number of providers of organized tours, the margins are thin and pressure for (international) economies of scale have increased. The hotel industry this development has been going on for much longer and a lot of hotel exploiting companies are operating all around the world.
