This involves solutions in the areas of development, engineering, testing and manufacture of small to medium high-tech and high-quality batches of (micro-) electronics, printed circuit boards (PCBs, printed circuit boards) and cables into complete electronic (box- built) systems.

Within the electronics industry manufacturers for electronic devices are present. The products that are manufactured by companies within this industry are intended for final consumers or other companies. Other companies can use the electronic devices for manufacturing or the products can be used for producing another product. This industry can be divided into several industries. Electronic devices for the end consumer market are kitchen appliances, entertainment products (television, radio) and other household appliances. Also a growing number of medical devices are directly sold to the consumers. The market for companies can be divided into intermediates and equipment used for the manufacturing of products. Companies in the semiconductor industry make semiconductors that are used as an intermediate for many different products. Examples of products which uses chips are computers, telephones, televisions and many other electronic devices. More and more devices are useing chips. The market is a rapidly changing market, because of the fast developments. This market is a forerunner in the economic cycle. Companies within the semiconductor industry systems produce machines that make semiconductors. These machines are very complicated. The technical developments are ahead of the development of the chips because developing a new semiconductor production machine takes a few months to one year duration. This market shows changes in the economic cycle even before the semiconductor industry itself.
