Profile: The Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij Nv (Royal Dutch Airlines, KLM) is a global operating airline. The home base is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, one of the most modern airports of the world. KLM includes KLM City Hopper and transavia.com. KLM Group has three core activities: passenger, cargo and maintenance of aircrafts, engines and components. During the financial year 2004/2005 KLM has merged with Air France and has joined SkyTeam, a global alliance in which a number of major European, American and Asian airlines, including Air France, Alitalia, CSA, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air , are united.
